Finally got my cab back!! (sorta)

Well, if you missed my thread about my cab mishap ((Blew a 10) Yea I kmow what a wonderful name I chose) I finally lost it with ProSound today.

I dropped my cab off on the 3rd, knowing that they wouldn't get to it until the next morning. I had to call them the next day to find out what was going on, and I was told by Chad the service manager that he would call me back...

So I never get a call and finally call them up Saturday (the 5th) and lo and behold the service department is closed on the weekends. So I give them a call Monday the 7th and Chad tells me that they just ordered all 4 new 10s and they should be in within a weeks time. He told me he'd give me a call when it was all ready to pick up.

Fast forward to today: The 18th, two weeks since they've had it. I'm fed up because they've never called me to keep me informed. I've been the only one making phone calls. Here's a little excerption of my convo today:

PS: ProSound. This is Sam, how can I help you?

ME: Yea, let me talk to Chad in the Service Department.

PS: Okay, Hold on one second while I connect you.

(I'm on hold for 3 minutes....   )

PS: Actually Chad is busy helping a customer at the moment.

ME: Somehow I doubt that. Anyhow, leave him a message letting him know that this is Chris with the ampeg 410 in for warranty work. It's been two weeks now and I've had not one phone call from you guys letting me know the status of my cab. Have him give me a call as soon as he's un-busy or otherwise I'll go ahead and just come by tomorrow and pickup my cab so I can take it to someone else who can better help me out.

So she takes my number and message down and I say goodbye. FORTY-FIVE SECONDS LATER... my phone rings and ProSound is on the caller ID.

I answer it and Chad somehow tells me to my disbelief that they just finished installing my new speakers and testing it out and it's ready for pick-up. I told him I'd be down tomorrow and  A)not to bother putting the grill back on yet because I want to see the speakers with my own eyes, and B) to have a head ready because I'm not leaving the store without being satisfied.  

BUT I FINALLY GET HER BACK!!!

Also, I just found a steal on Musician's Friend that I just picked up. A Brand-Spankin New Furman PL-PLUSDM Power Conditioner on Clearance w/ the extended Warranty shipped for $120. I've seen these going anywhere from when they were new at $269 to on sale around $190 or so. So that was a total steal.

Also on it's way is an Ampeg SVP-1600 power amp. Oh and Demon just in case you care for some reason, it was actually only $899 through Musician's Friend. (I figured it would have been around $1500 too) Also, picked up a 10 space rack for all the gear to come in the future.

So I've scored a load of gear, but I gave up my pre-order on the ESP B-2005 anniversary that I would have picked up tomorrow. I needed the power conditioner, rack and the power amp alot more than I needed a new bass.

I know... I know... BLASPHEMY!!!

well that's my day. Time to fire up the grill and throw on some thick a$$ ribeyes and enjoy some brews.
