Indiana / Midwest Uglyfest... any interest?

We might be up for it, but it all depends on how our animals are doing. We'd also been invited back to the Indiana schools to do a show sometime in November possibly, but it's all WAY up in the air right now. It would be cool if we could somehow make it happen! But really, how many of us midwesterners are there??

Canada's not that far away there eh? I'll just climb out of my igloo and hop on my sled and be there in no time flat eh. Hahaha, not to hijack the topic...are there any Canadian uglies out there?

Count me in. I've been wanting to talk some business with you anyway, BK. The only thing that would keep me away is if I have to work the Ohio high school football playoffs. I'm the guy in the striped shirt blowing the whistle (don't laugh ..... I just ordered a new head and cab with this season's game fees). Post a time and date, and I'll do my best to get there.

Me and Slade are going to have to come to one of these Uglyfests sometime. I'd be pretty useless in terms of contributing to the jam (unless all you guys are just itching to play reggae, which I doubt), but I make an entertaining drunk at most parties and I'm a good fighter...

I'll play reggae with ya man. Then we can get drunk and box.

We left Colorado because we have two small kids (2 1/2 and 10 months) and absolutely no family there, or even in neighboring states. My wife's family is really big (her Dad is one of 9 kids and her Mom is one of 12...) and they all live between Lafayette and Attica... within 15 miles of each other. They are a great family, very close knit, etc. Her Grandmother, who she was very close with, on her Dad's side passed away in April, and within a few hours of her getting the phone call she asked if I would consider moving home. Of course I would.

We absolutely LOVED Colorado, I miss the mountain biking, the 300+ days of cloudless sunshine, the skiing, the mountains, everything. But.... family first.

BDA, we're not in Attica, we're in West Lafayette just down the street from the Purdue Martel Forest out by the Ravines Golf Course.

Amy, if you and Joe do the school shows in Indiana, you are absolutely welcome to stay with us and save money. We have PLENTY of room, two extra very comfy beds, plenty of food (I am an excellent cook...), and we're out in the country on 4 acres with lots of trees so it's nice and peaceful here. You've also got an extra roadie to help haul equipment around and set it up, break it down, etc. Just lemme know.

yeah i live in the same town as the school but im not near smart enough to be let in the door there lol....yeah im sure its a kick myself in the arse type of deal how i missed it last time, lol it was a nice 2 hour tour of cornfields though lol....

Okay gang,

I'm thinking either Saturday November 5th, or the following Saturday, November 12th.

I figure we'd start late morning (10:30 - 11:00 ish...). That way we could get a good day in, flip some burgers and dogs, etc., and give those people who might have a bit of a drive time to hang and then leave early evening if they want to.

Lemme know whatcha all think.

What can I do to help you to get this Midwest jam going?

Well I have a gig on the 5th that will end around 2am and it is Danville. So I may not be able to make it if it is 5th. But if I do not get to come I will be with you guys in spirit, in a sweaty smelling bar, while you guys are sitting around eating hot dogs enjoying nature, Damn it LOL, oh well. If I miss you guys have a good one, and if I get to come BK let me know what to bring my man.

The 5th I might be able to make, the 12th is a definite no... I'll be on a plane to one of the coasts...

The 12th works best for me. I don't have school from the 9th through that weekend, so I will be visiting my girlfriend at Valporaiso that week. It would be easy for me to come from Valpo that Saturday morning then and spend the entire day down there. Since I don't have a job right now, I couldn't do 2 weekends in a row because of gas, so I won't be able to come if its the 5th. If you do it on the 5th, be sure to record it!
