Fat Porn

Ok, so it's occured to me that with all the porn flying around here, I haven't shown y'all mine... So here it is:

From left to right:
Wishbass 5-string EUB
Carvin B-5 (kit)
Cheapo Yamaha 5-string
Carvin LB76f (fretless 6-string)
DeArmond (Fender) Ashbory

There ya go...

I love the porn you can get here...nice Carvin fretless 6er too. My fav.

Sweeeeet porn dude!!

I see you got the Carvin 2x12 combo. How's it sound, Fat???

Nice Basses, and by the way.........................................."Happy 1000th post!!!"

Nice gear you got there, I've got to get an Ashbory sometime soon.
BTW, congrats on the 1000th post

I didn't even notice that!! Congrats on the 1000th post!!

nice basses i need to start me a decent collection i guess they all start with one tho

Damn fat that wish bass is awesome. Is it on a stand up like that for a reason? That lil' Fender is a freak too. Tell me that dining chair is not the stinky's throne.

Looks good Fat, and happy 1000th.

H

well, if you dont want the yamaha ill take it. Eh? eh??

Nice bro!! do you like that Wish? how was it right from him? Just been thinking about a Wish upright.

Sounds nice... but it sounds much better with the 2x10 as an extension...

The Wish is on a stand because it's an EUB. You play it on a stand like an upright.

The drums are mine, so I'm the only stinky who has to use that "throne". I like to pound on 'em once in a while to work out frustration... better than a punching bag!

The Wish is a little awkward to play, but it sounds AMAZING! It's also a great little attention getter. Dealing through him directly wasn't bad. I sent him a sketch of the body design I wanted, and he made it exactly. It took a little longer than he quoted me (took about 3 and a half months).

By the way.. Thanks to all for the props on my 1k post. I didn't even realize it was at the time.

Great looking collection. With a fretless, EUB, fretted, 4's, 5's and 6's all you need is an A/E and you'll have it all.

nice spread UF!

happy 1002nd

mmmmm... upright

im sure almost everyone on here has one but it still impresses me

Mmmmm Porn.....

Nice collection!

You'd be surprised how few of us actually know what the hell we're doing on an upright! I haven't the foggiest idea, but damn I want one to learn on!! I just want one for me ya know!

oh, hmm, well i hope ill get one this christmas a site that UBP advertises on the right side has em from $460

Not the hijack the thread, but are you looking to get an electric upright or acoustic uprigth bass? I don't think I would trust an acoustic upright for under $500. Check the used and local market and you can probably find a much better upright still under $1000. I know that it's a huge price difference but spending the money up front will save you money in the long run. Also, there is no resale value on a really inexpensive instrument. Buy something that's nice and you should be able to resell if it you decide to upgrade or find that it's too hard to transport a full upright bass.

well its acoustic but i dont really think its going to become my main focus of bass playing, and right now i have no REAL job... i twirl signs on the corner for $10 an hour

man if you do not like the cheapo Yamaha I am a big fan 0f their stuff what model and a good price maybe I can take it off of yoru hands for ya LOL

nice stuff UF. I like the look of that wish, and I always wanted to try one of those little fender dohickies (the ashbury that is).

I'm gettin' GAS for an upright. Checked out an acoustic at Sam Ash for $1100 us. Always played with frets though; don't know how difficult it would be to play without 'em.

Nice porn UF

sticky basement porn (ha - BASS ment) never mind...
thanx dude - nice stuff - i want an Ashbory - they are suposed to sound very cool .. what do ya think?

Soopahsweet! I wants me one o' them Ashbories... and dear god, I'm jonesin' for a double bass so bad I'm about to gut the savings account... but I love my wife, and I'd like for her stick around... I can hide the mandolin I want!

+1 on Quam's comments on going too cheap on one. You can't go wrong with an Englehardt, and I've actually heard quite a few nice things about the chinese Cremona SB2, which is running about $700, with an ebony board. You'll want to factor in a setup cost, either from the seller, or locally, when shopping as well... and "freight" charges...

but you don't have to buy a strap!

I've been researching this for a while!

I hope that BASSment isnt prone to flooding. We had a lot of that going on this year. Your babies will drown. Very pretty babies by the way.
