Bass PORN!
Here you guys and gals- post away, show us yer, ahem, goods and describe what he, she, or it is so that the rest of us can drool on our keyboards....
who's gonna start us off?!?!
This is my tune bass maniak 4 string with built in D.I.
and this is my Cort GB24 with my tiny fender amp behind it.
I don't have any pictures of my big amp but when I do I'll be sure to edit this post to include it. P.S. I hope my pictures arnt too big, if they are P.M. me and I will resize them.

Ok so there's a couple I'm sure have been posted before. I'll try and get some new family pics soon.
H
Current setup. Not changing much anytime soon :)
(not my sdgr)

and the two main axes:

That's about all that is noteworthy besides all the other little stuff and cheap axes laying about
Here's most of my bass stuff...

Of course, I've already added to it... but don't have any newer pictures. (just trying to keep ya'll in suspense)

Thought I'd add my practice amp...
Holy crap eyeteeth, you've got quite the set up. Thanks for the edit Headle. It was pretty large. ;)

I have had a couple of minor changes since this was made. I'll edit later.
My rig.
Hartke HA5500
Hartke 115XL
JBL K-151 18 in a NADY sub cab.

Here y'uns go

that would be my mexijazz, which is currently fretless w/out any filler or finish(i've been really lazy and haven't finished it yet :p ). the other is of course my neck-thru Thumb bass, my absolute fav bass I've ever played! I'm not sure when it'll get finished, but I'm going to be getting a GW fretless 6-er too! :D

and this would be my old Kay upright, and my cello of questonable make, it's too old that we can't figure it out! sorry the pic was taken from so far away, I tried to get all of both instruments in there

I need to take an updated family photo.

My Ugly in training 4 year old Karmann with her Squier Xmas Day
Rasta - I got the vinyl covers when I bought that rig in 82 and used them. Used to haul it in a VW bug. No rips. It's a classic - gets to stay in the living room - no more gigging for that one. The EUB sounds great through it.
Here's another shot of the little bastards.

Ok so I was finally able to take some pics of my rig hope they dont suck too bad.

Here we have my StingRay and Corvette, aswell as my Yorkville 400 15 combo, DigiTech BP200 and my wireless.

i might as well post a pic of my stuff.

Well you've all seen my gear from my avatar and other pics, but here is my shite.
Here is my set up. The rig is a Berhinger 4500 head set on a Steel Sound 2x10 & Legions Sound 1x15.
Here is the SX BG205 Fiver

Here is the 04 MIM Fender w/ EMGs, & a Bad ASSII bridge

and here is a pic of our practice space. It is in a huge warehouse. We usually play in a side room, but the twanger wanted to record, so we brought it out in the warehouse.

fo sho, fivers are awsome, i dont think ill buy another 4 string, im not sure ill ever get a 6 string.
Here's my stuff. This is the best pic I have for now:

I have an Essex jass bass (copy of Fender) and an OLP MM2 (copy of Music Man).
One day I'll get something other than a copy.
Here is my pedal:

As far as an amp, I plug into a direct box where I play so all I have is a Drive combo practice amp.
sweet, ABC! That's an Essex that Headle's playing in his icon, I believe he digs it.
Nice axes ABC although they are backwards :) I love my SX It gets played more than any of the others.
H
after the GW is done i think ill prolly get an SX 5 just to keep at school, so if its stolen its only 170 bux so who cares right? i also like headles sx quite a bit.
Well my Jazz got some new digs so here she is...

This is my new fiver, formerly Mr. Sampsel's

This is the Thunder in a box

And last but not least, ya gotta love a group shot

That's it for tonight.
H
Here is some new porn for you uglys.

Thanks ocf. Mass' schecter and mine are the same model but different looks. I love the satin one but I’m not a fan of the gold hardware so I had to go with the black cherry. The crate is doing surprisingly well for its age. The input jack is going to need a re solder soon but other than that it still thumps.
Nice pick up mass.
My new baby!

isn't she precious?

Most of you would call her a Spector Performer 4DLX, I call her Angel
I also picked up this little combo, lets just say It's new to me.

heck $99 bucks for a 1x12 80W deal is great considering all I had was a 15W Hartke combo that just wasn't cutting it.
You're moving up buddy. Congratulations.
Very nice bass Mr. Joe, congrats!
Oldclefer, yes thats my Ampeg fridge. I Leave it with the Svt head at the rehearsal space. Just too big and heavy to take it anywhere. Unless we play a Big Gig.....but since we only practice once a week, I try to Play and jam with other friends once/ twice a week to keep sharp....getting older isnt helping my playing!
So I use my Hartke 3500 and Hartke 1-15 for jams. But wanted a 4-10 to use instead, or with the 15''. So what the Heck, time to try a Avatar! Will let everyone know what I think of it..
Keep on Thumping fellow uglies, have a super weekend! Paul
Very nice joe. Your gonna love that amp with more power. I used to rock a 10w and then I got a 100w. Man what a difference!
Just got the second Flite on Monday and holy crap I am in heaven. The bottom Flite is loaded with a 500w Kappa Pro LF (low frequency) and the top with a regular Kappa Pro. Once I found the sweet spot on the shockingly front mounted mid boost/cut (imagine putting a tonal adjustment feature where you can reach it! AHEM! Hello Ampeg?) this thing just lights up the room. Huge, punchy, and full of low B rumble. Of course it's not the growlingest thing around if you want that super jazzy sound, but it has a surprisingly gnarly slap tone for a 2x15 rig. That little mid driver has a lot more spank than I expected.
Sorry for the crappy pic, I'll replace it with a better one soon.
If you drop one from more than 3 feet on a corner it will probably crack like balsa, but they sound GREAT and are plain stunningly light. I'll take my chances, for sure.
Top to bottom:
Luggage handle-style SKB Roto-Rack ($80) with 2500w power amp (POS Behringer $280) an RBI ($240 scratched demo) = 70lbs
Flite 155 = 28lbs (used from a Dudepitter $360)
Flite LF = 36lb (used from a TBer $260)
Total weight = 134lbs
Total cost = $1220
First gig with it is tonight, can't wait!
My cabinet GAS has been officially alka-seltzered for a while. Now if I can just swap out that Behringer for a Stewart 1.2.........
Anybody else put together a stack made to shake the butt without breaking the back or the bank?
I haven't weighed mine, but it's light enough, simple enough to use, and gets deep.
Mine's about the same price as your's.
Nice looking rig bfb. Have fun wid it.
Heard from Dr Bass?
BFB - that's a clean looking setup - simple and to the point.
So far so good with the Flite stack, but it will take me a while to get the stage tone dialed up right. It did the job nicely last night, and will get another full work-out on Saturday. I'm more than a little surprised at how snappy it is considering the lack of 10 drivers.
The broken rig is in transit to Dr.Bass and I owe Marc a phone call with the tracking # etc.
I am still awaiting the replacement.
well hope u all enjoy. my first time posting on this site but its good to see so many bass nuts are out there that are crazy bout gear!!!!!!
c t
What kind of amp are you playing through?
Don't hold out on us, we need to see all the gear.
Gear porn is essential here, and we get to see it all.

Your pic has to be posted online at your own site or a common site like myspace. Then, here, during a reply, you click on the insert image control and and paste in the url of your pic and add it to the reply.
ok man thanks i will give that a try...
I recently took a pic of the whole gang:
i use my camera for work in the rain and dirt and such so it seems to really suck taking pictures indoors.
use the insert image button instead of the attachment button.
