"RockStar II" audition band?...

The Classic Rock cover band I just hooked up with does a live band karaoke every thursday night at a local bar called Cox's Pub. Well, CBS has selected Cox's Pub to be one of 16 bars nationwide where they will be holding the auditions for the next series of RockStar, and I've not confirmed it but I think we might be the band that they have to sing with when they audition.
Could be kinda cool if it happens, eh? :D
Jeez, if it does maybe I need to be playing one of my own GW Basses for it?

Hell ya that is cool. And, yes, you should definitely play a GW, and wear and Ugly Bass Player shirt that says hi rasta. Is it gonna be Van Halen this season?

Van Halen turned it down. There was a whole thing on Blabbermouth about it a couple months back. Very cool BK.

So do you know who is gonna do it? VH, woulda brought in a ton of viewers I think. You would have a great Rock N Roll band, and the explaosive Eddie Van Halen. By explosive, I mean he can fly off the handle at any minute, great for reality TV.

Our twanger says it's on...
He says it has been for a while... supposed to have started yesterday with contestants either singing on Monday nights to a regular Karaoke machine or on Thursday nights with us playing. CBS is supposed to be there.
Hey says they have requested us, in addition to our regular songlist for people to choose from, that we are supposed to have these 6 songs ready:

I gotta tell ya though, after all my years hearing people hype shyte up, I'll believe it thursday night, althought there was an article in a local paper talking about how Cox's Pub where we do live band karaoke every thursday night (the band started doing this the first week of January and the club owner wants us to keep doing it all year....) has been selected as one of 16 bars in the country where people can try out. There's supposed to be one in Chicago too, which is 3 hours away.
Could be a really fun gig for the next few weeks! I don't have GW bass ready for it, but I will definitely be wearing one of my UBP.com Shirts!

That would be awesome!!! It would be good promotion, but honestly, 99.5% of the people who are going to watch the show aren't concerned with the bass player. But that other 0.5% on the other hand, might totally dig it and check out your customs. If you do get it, then I would totally rock the GWs if I were you.
