I just wanted to share a video of one of my favorite bands (Explosions in the Sky) playing one of my favorite songs (Greet Death). If you aren't familiar with EITS, they're an instrumental rock band from texas whose music is some of the most passionate and original stuff I've ever heard.

They are also a very intense band live, kind of like Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Greet Death has one of the rockinest intros of all time. If nothing else, you should check out the first 4 minutes just to see their bassist's playing style, from violently strumming the neck to get a crazy sort of woofy sound, to how he smacks the sh!t out of the thing from time to time. I just love it.

Seems pretty cool... in the first part is the bassist playing with a pick? It seems very intense, I dont really enjoy the quality of the video thou, I bet this is fun live thou.
