What genre of music you love to listen?
Hello all,Let's talk about music. What genre of music you love to listen?I love to listen Electronic music. And you? :)
I love all kinds of music, But Reggae has got to be my favorite.
Well I grew up on punk so that's certainly one of my favorites and I also love the grateful dead but very few other hippy dippy bands but the ones I do like I absolutely love.
I also really like metal. and I also really like alternative and the blues and...
I can't narrow it though. If it's good to my ears it don't need no label!
METAL!!!!!!
I like other stuff as well, but metal is what's in my blood.
i listen to most anything.
I'm a metal kid, but I have a secret weakness for glam rock from the 80's... its just fun!LOL
Everything I can get my hands on to. Even if I hate it, I will give it a try at least once.
But to narrow it down, mostly the Progressive Jazz and Metal. To me Metal is just Jazz with Distortion.
I like about all music, except country, but I still listen to that too, since you get get ideas from anything.
Ska and punk are my weaknesses.
Ska and punk are my weaknesses.
Ska!
I don't know anyone who listens to ska anymore. My first show the Aquabats.
I listen to almost any style of music... but the last 6 months (or so) I've been listening to a lot of metal.
i dig Motown (music from da neighborhood)
it still makes me STOP to listen.
pretty much anything but country. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get down with country music. I like me some metal, grunge, pop, emo, screamo, hardcore, thrash, death metal, black metal, funk, punk, ska, alternative, good ol rock, rap, hip hop, trip hop, industrial, dance, drum n bass, love solo female artists like Tori Amos, Dido, etc, love love love piano especially Ben Folds, motown, disco, hair metal... and I have a super special warm spot across my heart for 80s new wave and pop. Im still trying to form an 80s pop cover band. Duran Duran owns your face.
rock.
DDD
Metal, alternative, metal, blues, motown, metal, blues and even rockabilly. And I have a great weakness for seventies funk. Real stinky funk with that nasty bass. The only thing Im not into really is country, and maybe rap. Cept for Dr. Dre, it all just gives me a headache.
blues, jazz, rock, metal, its all different types of rock and metal that i pay for though. from hendrix to lamb of god to arctic monkeys to the hives... list goes on. o and flogging molly, folk rock lol
I listen to everything from hard core country to metal.
everything cept country really.
for example: tonight iv got my orchestra concert where ill be playing on the double bass, on november 12th im playing a battle of the bands at the ogden that mostly consists of metal and punk bands.
there are too many genres to choose from though, i love metal, but no finnish troll metal for me.
sorry children of bodom, its just how i feel
and i actually do like rap, underground hip hop would be what i guess it should be called. anything under Rhymsayers entertainment.
It used to be 99% reggae, but since I've been playing in a rock band, it's been 90% reggae and 10% Hard Rock/metal.
I try to listen to all the music I can get, so far I haven't found one genre I'm really not into yet. :)
I guess my favorite of all is either jam bands or rap/hip hop.
I try to listen to all types of music. Been listening to alot of TOOL and jazz lately.
I listen to everything. The CDs in my truck include: Grover Washington, Electric Light Orchestra, Brick, Slave, John Pattitucci, C.A.B., Albert Collins and the Icebreakers, Albert King, Badfinger, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Glenn Miller, Anti-Flag, Little Charlie and The Nightcats, and AC/DC just to name a few............
METAL!!!!!!
I like other stuff as well, but metal is what's in my blood.
And the last time I saw a pic of you there was blood all over you, so you must be pretty into it.
I liesten to almost everything, exept reggaeton. EEeww...
Right now, I'm paying close attention to 70's disco and modest mussorgskys pictures at an exhibition and just like most other uglies, I listen to a lot of stuff... I tend to avoid commercial-radio-music, but that's just because
1: I'm a snob
2: It might be good, but it's alway played to death
I do have a weak spot for punk, fast ska and 80's alternative music (cure, sisters of mercy, NIN, ministry... you know the drill!)
Ska!
I don't know anyone who listens to ska anymore. My first show the Aquabats.
Sweet...dig the bats. One of my first shows was MU330.
Isn't it funny how sometimes the music you play and the music you listen to can be very different.
We play a lot of OZ rock covers but on Sunday morning at my place its Blues and pancakes for breakfast.
I just love the tones the old blues guys get and the lyrics just crack me up.
my mood determines what I listen to
I love all kinds of music
I can soak in some Beethoven at times
I love traditional bluegrass and country
I've had a long time love affair with Abbey Road
Jaco
Bowie
Hendrix
Dylan
Mingus
Robert Johnson
any that challenges me as a listener
I love it all
I love it all
my mood determines what I listen to
My thoughts exactly.....
I've been quite depressed the last 6 months or so.... been listening to nearly every suicide metal song I know of.
Well yeah basically all of them.
I can go into a music store and buy Ozzy and Beth Orton at the same time.
If I had to pick ONE Genre it would be the blues.

I dont know who Beth Orton is, but its funny when I go into the used record place, the looks I get buying a Slayer and a Floggin Molly and a Bootsy Collins. Who cares, its called music. Period!
Everything except Rap ( cant spell crap without rap ), any kind of mexican music ( and im mexican too ), and Grunge ( Nirvana Yack.... sorry I just cant help it )
at the moment, what i am listening to most is tool, ben folds (probably my number one all time favorite musician), and guster's latest album. throw in some they might be giants, a perfect circle, some muse, radiohead, belle and sebastian, a small selection of jazz and hip hop, and you will get a pretty good idea of what i am losing my hearing to :p

So I take it Mariachi Grunge Rap is out of the question?
I listen to everything from hard core country to metal.
Hardcore country? Would that be Hatebreed Haggard?:)
I'm a metalhead at heart. Too many classifications to list, I like all different kinks of it, 'cept for nu-metal and alot of these screamo bands that all sound alike (to me that is). As for music in general I listen to so many different kinds: metal, blues, jazz, funk, jam bands, and anything else that sounds good to my ears. I can't do the country thing though, except for Charlie Daniels and a couple of others along the same lines. I admit that I do have a secret love for '80s alternative, Duran Duran and stuff like that. That was something that I always kept to myself until about 3 years ago. Now I don't care who knows it.
(said loudy with fist and devil horns in the air).........................................................DURAN DURAN ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I think my brain would explode! :D
That would be pretty intensesome guy rapping the lyrics to teen spirit in spanish while the song is being played by trumpets and guitarons.
That actually sounds pretty badass.

...I've discovered my new ambition.

Hell yeah, a nice little bass line on the Guitarron with a guitar skankin' with feed back and Daddy Yankee rap'n. I know many of my students would buy it. Make it a boy band and you've got gold!!!!
I'm kinda patial to the southern rock thang, but I also like blues, jazz, funk and new country (really southern rock). I really can't find a place for rap, classical and the bubble gum rock.
Make it a boy band and you've got gold!!!!
Lol:p
Daddy Yankee
AAAHHH!! I KILL YOU! you-dont write that name round where I might read it! I am not kiding now, It is gag inducing.
Seroiusly.

One Bubba Sparx was too much....
No, I think my description was misleading... It's actually Gangsta Rap wich instead of talking about the G's your Rolling Up' In Da Hood, It talks about the beforementiones subjects.
Thought, musically, it is what i sayed.
Haha, either way, I'll make sure to avoid it.
I listen to mostly Guitar instrumental (Satriani,Vai etc) or anything metal (glam, hardcore, death) but I listen to anything. I have a really love for classic progressive Cream, Vanilla Fudge, Humble Pie, King Crimson
Both kinds:
Heavy and Metal
Heavy metal is where my passion is. But that doesn't mean don't listen to anything else, I dig the funky groovy stuff and even some classical stuff. Oh and on a side note, BD that new Tool album effing rocks. Everybody HAS to check out The Pot sooo killer.
