Recurring GAS

It's back, that dizzying feeling. It started last night while watching what some of us here in town consider the musician's band. The ugly, who is not only a treat to watch and hear but an inspiration. I've seen him play once before but with a Shroeder 4x10 and I thought...omg that's the most massive box evar! But in a smaller setting last night he's got a 2x10.

I have to know what it is because he's got a Lakland, an Eden Navigator head, constant and consistant thumptasty and unwavering lines. I see the little Avatar tag.....OMG! That's pushing like THAT!

I've been looking for a lighter box and coming up with the pricey Epifani/Eden Neo cabs that make me feel like a money tard. But this ugly said that the horn sounded honky so it was a $20 switch out.

So, $279 (tolex)+ $29 ship This is so within financial reach for me inside a few months. Going with the tolex, both my Ashdown 10 and my Hartke cab are carpted, I can't keep the cats off of them and spend way too much time and money on lint rollers and cleaning before practice and gigs.

I'll see if the horn needs swapping for my cab, he uses a power amp to push the full wattage of his Eden Nav head and I use a Hartke HA2500.

He's going to let me use the box next weekend to see how it sounds with the rest of my gear.
