.
big audition working band--coming up--whoa!
Yah! Tell yah more later!
Sorry.
I have an audition in a band that plays out at least 5 times per month.
They sometimes play more than that.
It would be a paying solid gig.
The drummer has a fantastic history, like retarded good.
The band is female fronted.
They play party dance 80 90's music
And fun baroom songs.
The last time I had a big audition like this , I blew it cuz I didn't understand. (Stuff like solid locked timing, riding the kick drum, and being down in the bottom, solid and not wavering for any reason.keeping a wall of sound up during every note, while maintaining tone, stuff like that. What else, I will tell you later)
But now I have more knowledge of my instrument.
Here are the songs.
ABC. Jacksons
I want you back. Jacksons
Greenday song. -sometimes I give myself the creeps-
Paradise by the dashboard lite
Yah, now the only thing is to get my chops up to the speed and dexterity requirements.
I will do that before thursday.
If not, thhings won't go so well! Hahaha
Yah, looking forward to this one, have a lot of work to do, and excited to do it because I know how to do it. -think I know- or, at least have a plan --whatever plan, but at least got one-- how to do it!
That's it, that's the big one.....the audition. Thursday. 15-20 mins to show my stuff.
They are looking at other bass players. Maybe I will see some of you there!

Oh I am the gig now, watching the band. I am Not playing, but watching the other bass player. He is good, solid.
Will report back later!
Big Al
Fucking eh buddy, you've got this, I know it!
Going to bed now.
They are good. Some song I play differently on bass, but, not saying one thing bad about the current player he is really good.
I just play two songs different, I think better. Evrerything else he kicks ass!
Now, it is a tall order to learn all there songs. But I have played or auditioned on about 65-70 percent of there list,
But I have to chart out all those songs and get them solid in my mind again
and the other songs 10 percent are easy and that leaves 20 percent uncharted !!!
Man, I am just gonna try my best.
Now, some songs I think need a gallop ---or you could play straight 1/8's.
Like the meatloaf --- paradise by the dashboard light song.
Is the bass doing 8's? Or a gallop?
Man, I am just -inches- away from getting this down.
BUT--- I guess that is what faith is about.
And - like when a pro sports guy hits the zone and just goes---- I am almost at that point.
So, only time over the next few days will tell.
All the people in the band are cool and they met my friends and it is a really cool scene.
Oh, and the bar had about 200 people there....that's good!
I have the support of my fiance julie to really go for this..... I just have to let it i--- and go get it--- and ride the wave of excitment up until the time I open that door to the auditon studio on thursday night and plug in and say........
Ok, click off Misery Business...and let's RAWK!
Shoot! Not I can't sleep! Argh!!!!!!!!!
Hahahhaha
