5 years ago, would you have guessed that what you are doing now is what you would be doing?
did you have different plans?
something totally out of the ordinary happen to you?
I will start.
5 years ago I never guessed I would be married again.
I would definately not have guessed I would be coaching a team of any sort, let alone an all female roller derby team.
in 2003 I was still mostly playing drums. yowza.

really, never thought I would be playing bass as hard and as enthusiastically as I am now (yeah , I am gonna take static for that statement, but u asked)
5 years ago, I just got replaced in a U2 cover band, and was very discouraged with my playing.....or just discouraged in general musically
so, I started again, last may, and here we are!

It is all going according to plan... Everything is as the scriptures say it must...
Well... As I said earlier, I didnt think I'd be playing bass... I didnt think I'd be doing as I am in school (Average/high grades... I thought I was going for the straight A's but hey, I got lazy)... 5 years ago I definitly didnt think I would think the way I think as I do now. I blame my 7th grade history teacher for that, he introduced me to politics and filosophy, and my 7th grade literature teacher, who introduced me to good literature.
I've never been the same.
Oh... And I never thought I'd be liestening to this kind of music... Or watching this kind of movies... Or that I'd have a girlfriend... I still need to take some pics with her so I can brag about her to my ugly bros...
Yeah, basically... That's about it...
Ah, and I never thought I'd find a place in the net THIS cool.

5 years ago i thought my life was over, freshman year of high school being as tough as it was. i planned on playing either football or baseball through college, and didnt really plan on anything else. Unfortunately, i spent half my school year between a surgery and physical therapy on my ankle after sliding into a thick rubber base and touching my heel to my shin. sunk into a deep depression for about a year then came out of it when i discovered the arts. it started with some music and some doodling but now has spung out of control.

5 years ago, I wasn't playing music, wasn't married to number 2, didn't have much in the way of a life. So, no. I had no idea that I would be where I am today, and I guess I have to credit the new wife with allowing me to find a life.
Cheese and Rice, that's depressing. My divorce messed me up more than I thought...

well 5 years ago.... lets see... I was in TRIBE, married, in a job I hated, gaining weight rapidly after college.....and now.... in a job I love, got divorced, gonna be a daddy in 3 months, no more band, rediscovered my love of teaching, AND I started taking theory lessons again! wow.... how things can change in an instant huh!

5 years ago, I was in a bad cover band, drinking heavily, in a bad relationship with an evil tramp/slut/whore and in a job that I hated. Now, I'm married to a wonderful woman who actually bought me an amp for my birthday, hardly drinking at all and in a job I hate, working on a better job, no band but I have a 62 Jazz and a Twisted Sister ringtone.

wow, first year of big school 5 years ago.
i was a 'keeno' (enthusiastic in class) i wore my shirts with the top button done up, i still liked bdays and thats bout all i can remember lol 4 years ago i got my first girlfriend :)
now im chilled out, dont care for much other then happiness, as long as i got that i dont mind anything else, and this week ive had a few scraps of the stuff, which feels great considering having none for a while. and i cba to type much.

Living in Fayettenam, NC
Single
Hating life.
Now:
In the army reserves
Working as a civilian for the Army Reserves
Playing bass in an awesome band
Seeing a very wonderful woman
Loving life.
I didn't have any plans at that time, I had just gotten out of college and was just starting to figure out my way around this crazy world. I definately never thought I'd end up in Marietta, GA. And the thought of going back to school was completely laughable whereas now I'm looking to go to school for bass playing.
It's amazing how things change...
Five years ago? FIVE YEARS AGO????????? MY GOD MAN! I am ancient and can't remember five days ago!..
Seriously......I never thought we would have two major hurricanes in Louisiana and that one of them, rita would destroy my city and my familie's home and my best friends new Tiburon.....etc.........I never thought we would be raising teenagers..........I never thought I'd ever pick up my bass and actually play it much less make this full on transition! I never thought I would be at home all day homeschooling kidz.......I never thought I'd have Gallbladder surgery that went wrong and freakin killed me and I survived it......I never thought I would see me with a cell phone, a widescreen flatscreen monitor, a sprig of a pinoak the size of a huge tree in my front yard now...etc.......
So much, so much.........Plans changed?...You bet your bippy !;)
