I finally got my skylight installed ........ boy are the upstairs neighbors pi$$ed :eek:

My fiance got into a car accident 3 weeks ago and totalled our new '08' Scion XB. She got hurt in the crash and is going thru physical therapy as I speak. The insurance just paid off the car and we ordered a white '09' Scion XB today. There actually very safe cars with 6 airbags and perfect for loading your gear into.:)

Hey Vinxy..........Sorry to hear about your fiance's accident! How much longer with Physical therapy? I have been in two very bad accidents...both drunk drivers that hit me.....I have permanent whiplash, non surgically operable at that, and.........PT is difficult but it's a God Send for accident victims......

Was either a blown fuel line or an electrical short... kinda hard to tell now.

Try having a wheel fly off a van on the interstate (had to spend the weekend in Fredricksburg, Va til I could get a U-Haul)

Or having the hood fly open going down the highway (in the pouring rain, no less...)

I could go on with this all day...

Car Karma Matt?..I used to get that pretty often..Never had a hood fly up on me in the rain on the highway, but I did have a ball joint break on an old car we were transporting off my dad's car lot to a guys house, and that happened on top of the Interstate 10 bridge here...Scared me to death!

I used to work at a Marine place when I was about 18, and I drove this truck over the big curved bridge here to pick up boats for my boss. I had a cabin cruiser on the back, piggy backing a stack of aluminum bass boats....I'm going up the steep curving incline of the I-210 bridge when the trailer hitch breaks and the boat goes flying down the bridge at oncoming traffic.......A trucker hit it first, smashing it up and before the next one could stop, hit it again and there was boat, motors, trailer, you name it in about 10 different places...I stopped at the top of the bridge and jumped out of the truck for the trooper to get up to me.......He ticketed the people that put the trailer on the truck......

I used to say I had bad luck on bridges until someone corrected me once and said No, you have good luck on bridges, because you are still here!...:)

Thorny, as fas as PT goes, at least 6 weeks minimum. Yeah, car accidents are bad, half my ribs were broken in '86' in a car accident in which the driver of the car I was in hit a deer up in the mountains, we lost control of the car, swerved into the other lane and got nailed broadside by a Jeep Cherokee. 11 broken ribs, 2 punctured lungs, 2 collapsed lungs, lacerated liver, collapsed diaphram, spent 3 weeks in the hospital, the first week in ICU. Today, my ribs are riddled with arthritis, I take Tramadol on a daily basis to deal with the pain. After gigs, I feel it the most from singing and holding a bass all night around my neck - it sucks big time.:(

Going to pickup the '09' Scion XB tomorrow, white w/spoiler, fog lights and XM radio installed, we're very excited. They are actually a very safe car with 6 air bags.:D
