hey ldd i.ve had a serious setback since about the 14th.

typing with one finger, bare with me.

i am sitting at my desk for the first time since the 15th when i had about an hour pain free, then it womped me bad.

taking three antibiotics and not allowed pain meds because my liver enzymes were bad.

back to severe hand and joint pain, fevers, and just generally weak. all my great calf muscles are gone. wasting they say.

tonight i feel well enough to expend a little bit of energy. my immune system is too weak for the hospital and all the opportunistic infection therte, so home, bed rest, and convalescence is my life now.

i,ve made peace with my maker just in case. :(but i have more faith than ever i will overcome this monster. the hard part is that sigoth works a 12 hour day and has to come home bathe me and feed me because i have lost my hand function, i feel so bad for him. i cry a whole lot, sometimes it is just to release the suffering, cathartic tears. helps.

but i have hope that i can get through this. pray for me family. i love you guys so much. will try again tomorrow to get online. :)

so the antis aren't working? do you have insurance? sounds to me like you need to go to a larger city and see some serious specialists.... your life is worth it, even if you have to sell your house to make it happen.... get in to some real doctors and get control of the situation.... good God Thorn, get the help you need sister...

Thorn, I got much love for you sister. IIRC, you have fibromialgia (I know I probably spelled it wrong) which my mother has as well and I've seen the pain it can inflict and how much it can slow healing. I'll continue praying for you and your sigoth. Get well soon and we'll keep the thread killer thread going for you until you're well enough to come back and try and claim it as your own ;) And don't you dare forget that you owe me a raspberry vodka wrestling match when you're better :D Ain't gonna be no talk of making peace with your maker until you've squared up your debts here :p Hehe! it is 1:33 am and i am feeling different, not good, not better, spread too thin, laying down now feels really bad suddenly. i am trying to research some of my options online. the anti's are not working. hopefully early morning light, i can call my mom so she can come help me find some answers.

i live in a city with 4 major hospitals, one of which is where you are sent if uninsured, the other three won't refuse you, but they will say that you will be transferred to charity hospital, which is where i have been going.

these antibiotic resistant super infections are difficult to treat. seems like my only solution is to find an infection specialiust that will treat me outpatient for cash.

i'll be around to settle with ya jb:) and yes good old fms slows healing and creates resistance to chemicals. i'll take the fibro back over this any day..... shudder

LDD i can smell it and its my favorite place on earth. i wish i was there. great shot.....Does cheer me a lot.

well, found out that the cure could be so simple. going to push live culture yogurt for a few days. beings this is a resistant strain of e coli i have killed all the good bacteria with weeks of anti's. my body is now defenseless from opportunistic bacteria that we normally are immune to when healthy. my cat is a risk, my sigoth, my best friend, docs office and emergency rooms, all a risk.

i have to keep kitty off of me and the bed, sigoth has to shower and put on clean clothes first, no visitors for a few days, and i should be sitting up and coughing often. seems i have a bit of pneumonia brewing.:mad: from bed ridden no doubt. we have to change bed linens each day. so many precautions. i feel kinda like the girl in the bubble...:p

a bottle of isopropyl alcohol is my companion....lol not the drinkin kind

we'll see how the yogurt does. if that is the ticket i will be ecstatic.......

Thorn, get well soon and come visit.

My wife and I would love to meet you and sigoth.

If i won the trip of my choice, it would be central coastal california........nothing like that ocean breeze and the feeling of infinity as you look out......the climate is utterly heaven, and the whole vibe makes me both energetic and peaceful.............i rarely enjoy the outdoors here because of the extreme climate and humidity. part of why i am unhealthy is no fresh air and sunshine. for three monthes, a few years back, i was in pismo and i think i spent everyday outdoors...............i went there really bad off with the fibro and in a matter of a few days felt perfect........ah..............memories....

I've been on antibiotics for two weeks for all this dental work Im having done and pro-biotic yogurt helped level off some of the not so nice side effects of taking anti biotics..I hope it works for you! You're a fighter Thorn, keep optimistic and things will come around for ya.

sorry to leave you all hanging, but we had no cable most the day from a city transformer that blew near a natural gas plant, the biggest in the country in fact.........no injuries, not much damage........no biggie....just loud.......

shelter in place is automatic through city sirens when there is any explosion here. You have to stay indoors cutting off all air supply to your home and put a wet rag over your face...standard procedure here.....

about an hour after that, a bad wreck near my house happened, with two delivery type trucks, which again was LOUD....scaring me half to death......Can't ever get news on what happens until late late in the day......

And thank you to everyone wishing me well and sending prayers.......there is strength in numbers! Grin you are so funny......put me on that chain and make me a stronger link darlin! :)

yogurt is on it's way with sigoth after work in a few moments. been feeling some better today, not quite so winded and wasted or exhausted... a little bit of energy and alertness for a change. Fever just came on a few hours ago, but I nipped it quick and for the first time in weeks, at this time of night, I don't have a fever! YAY

i am typing so slow I have to re sign in each time I post. LOL...I normally type about 80 wpm........this is weird.....okay peeps, thanks for the love and Dan send me some CSS cause that actually sounds very good and that means for the first time in weeks I have a bit of an appetite! It's been a better day my friends........thank you all!

Be very careful which pills you take. Nothing wrong with probiotic pills but GNC is notorious for selling crap.

This company has stuff that is much safer and usually works a lot better.

Hey Thorn mebbe you should get a Goat and make your own yoghurt. Not only that, you won't need to mow the lawn - just peg in the middle and a long rope. btw you didn't need those roses, did you??

Sounds like you live pretty close, yes? no? how far away?

Somethings telling me part of your problem is air-borne pollution.

Is there any place you can go to get away from the refineries for a few days?

Friends? Family?
