Ok, so I know we're uglies, but I gotta admit that I'm a sucker for American Idol! And I don't care what you think! :D
I really love Megan Corkrey. She's the blonde one with the full sleeve tat on her right arm and the really cute face. Ooh la la ;) She has a great jazzy voice too, which I totally dig!
Anywho, for those of you who also watch, who do you like this season?

So I'm still liking Adam Lambert - what an amazing rendition of 'Satisfaction' - the purists would probably hate it, but I reckon it really showed his chops!!
I also Like Alison Iraheta - 16 yrs old - what a voice!!

I thought Adam Lambert's take on 'Tracks of my Tears' in the Motown week was probably the best performance so far - I'd go out and buy it tomorrow!

Yep I agree Al. I can't believe they voted Michael Sarver off before that (really cute) blonde girl with the awesome tattoo. She completely sucked in the last performance.

Everyone I talked to hated Adam Lamberts version of Ring of Fire but I thought it was freaking amazing!!! Pure brilliance in my opinion. He's got that thing in the bag! Him or Danny that is.

I'm pretty sure that it was Jeff Buckley's version of Ring of Fire that Adam performed, but I'm still trying to confirm.
Nonetheless, IMO Adam Lambert is on a differant level than everyone else on the show this year, I watch, and I havn't seen anyone touch him yet. If he decides to go through, he'll win, but he may decide to pull out a la Jacob Hoggard, who fronts the band Hedley.
He joined Canadian Idol as a bet or something like that, and he went to the top three and decided to pull out, because he thought people would see him as a joke. No one could touch him on that season either.

I just saw Jacobs audition for the first time, a couple of the judges ripped into him pretty good, and now his band is one of the most played on Canadian radio.
Just goes to show that sometimes some judges can't see talent if it kicked them in the ass.

Good call Heavy P. And yeah, it was Jeff Buckley's version. Most people didn't know that though so they thought he was being obscurly inovative. Even if it were his own original version, I would have loved it! I'd buy that song right now if it were available!
If you think about it, most of the singers in the industry who are making good money wouldn't even make it past the first round of Idol. But that's what's great about the industry too is that you don't necessarily have to be the best voice or shredder out there, but if you connect with people and they're willing to put $15 down for your CD, then your further ahead than the people who are technically talented, but don't have a sellable sound/image.

So true.
At the same time I've seen singers that I personally thought were the better singer voted off AI.
It's a fun show, I especially enjoy the auditions, but it's almost gimmicky. Other than Carrie Underwood, I can't think of another AI winner with a solid career going on right now (Daughtry has disappeared, and Kelly Clarkson went kookoo).

Gokey is good, but I think Alison is starting to seperate herself and pull away as a more clear 2nd place finisher IMO. She's got a great voice and Gokey seems a little monochromatic to me.
