So we played an all-acoustic show last night. We were the featured act at a local open mic. Great venue, cool crowd. This was one of 4 shows we are doing this week to promote our new Demo. With Saturday being our 'official' CD release.

Well, the completely random thing was this...
When you are the featured act, they pass around a tip jar. That's how you get paid for the night. So I go to count out the tip jar after we play and I find some completely random...did I say completely random,, yeah, completely random things in there.

Besides tips, I found about $45 in Pesos. yes, Mexican coins. AND a mans WEDDING RING. It had three rows of diamonds and was worn out pretty well.

How crazy is that? I gave the ring to the bar, but the Pesos are mine. I'll write a song about the day I made some pesos, but the wedding ring had to go. haha.

$45 worth of pesos must have weighed a ton.

I think the ring was a a tip.

A tip as in don't get married or you'll be drunk one day at a bar, broke with the only thing to tip someone with is your ring, but you don't care, so you throw it in the jar. Pawn it

Maybe you should have thrown it into the crater of Mt. Baker (Doom).

The whole story is pretty funny though. I think it deserves a song.
