Howdy ya'll!
Been lurking a little. Haven't been feeling very well. Saw my rheumatologist today and he put me on an antimalarial drug that is also used for aggressive Rheumatoid arthritis, called Plaquenil. IT's affordable and hopefully will be putting me into a drug induced remission in six to twelve weeks. I'll be able to pick up my bass again!!!!!!!!!! YAY!
The official diagnosis is done. I do NOT have LUPUS...HALLELUJAH ........But, what I have is a form of systemic RA, so I still have to be very aware of what goes into my body and rest is very important.
How's stuff? I miss you guys...I just don't want to hog up any space with no bass talk. BUt, I did want to give a good update and ask that you guys think about me while I try out this medication. It's got some serious side effects the first few weeks, so I'll likely just be dealing with what I have to do to stay on course.
Anyone hear from SW Straight?...SWS how are you?
Peace and Love to all.........:)
... I still have to be very aware of what goes into my body...
Better let the sigoth know about that!
Good to hear you're one step closer to figuring out what's up...keep at it

Hey B
Good to hear from you, and relieving to hear its not Lupus.
Hey there Vinnie..How's married life treating you? Thanks for thinking about me! I can't wait to get my bass out and play in the near future. I am keeping a very positive attitude!
Hey Silver Surfer! HAHA...Yeah, not much of that can go into my body lately either! However, there is always other alternatives to what you cannot do traditionally. You learn fast to do things in new ways..:p
HEy Rev Matt~! Yes! It was a true relief to hear it was not LUPUS...I still have to worry about organ problems being a reality, but on much lesser scale. Thanks Matt!
Hey LDD! YEP! I am still a fighter. I think I've learned finally, to fight a little harder. You know it's so strange to wake up one day and the simplest of tasks becomes a struggle. But, you always learn in life. I feel each experience I have is a lesson in some form. I am actually very calm, very focused, and have learned to really enjoy the small moments that we all take for granted when we move too fast. Thanks for your prayers! :)
Hey Grasshopper! How's my canadian bud? Thanks so much for the support HP! Big hugz your way!
Thanks to everyone for support and prayers. Sometimes just thinking about someone with care is enough to energize them. When I know i have friends all over the world, it's so intriguing and I am so grateful for the internet!

SW Straight is doing better. He hasn't been posting because he hasn't been able to play much. But he's doing better. For those that don't know, he's dealing with MS.

Married life is great, we're going to Hawaii for our honeymoon the end of March - can't wait.:D
Yep, get that bass out and start cranking out some new tunes, that'll keep your mind off some of your problems a little.:)

:)Hey Thorny, I was thinking about ya just the other day. Glad to hear your doing better.
I know it can be difficult to want to think about bass issues when your health stands in the way, but maybe you'll get a break here and be able to get back on your bass and have some bass news to report.
Take care,
Vinnie:)
