1000th post - Thanks for all the mammaries

I know it's customary to have a little song and dance on the occasion of your cherry getting busted. I can recall a few choice moments as a few of our brothers and sisters made the mark.
Some of 'em took years to get there, preferring to lurk offstage, some of 'em were rocket-propelled. (yay Thorn!)
I'd like to think I sit somewhere in the middle, knowing that the saying 'empty vessels make the most noise' couldn't possibly apply to me (haha)
This is my version.
I've worked out that it's actually irrelevant how often you post in here, as each post is viewed and commented upon to with the same amount of care and respect as the next one.
This is an anomaly within the web sphere, where people consistently hide behind alter egos that seldom bely their true motives.
Apart from a couple of moments during the recent American Election, I can't say that I've ever noticed anyone getting bagged, flamed, dissed or otherwise picked-upon. I was really sorry to see that some of the people, one in particular that I really respected, decided to call it a day, although I understand that he does lurk occasionally. I miss your input, Uncle.
Although we mostly refer to each other by the pseudonyms that we invent, it's gratifying to see that occasionally we call each other by our true names, with the knowledge and trust that it implies.
So, for the record, thanks to Slade and his great team for building this forum.
Thanks to my ugly friends for making it habitable.
(But I wish DDD would stop swinging from the chandeliers!!)

congrats!!!! As long as im around, no chandeliers are safe, nor are your wallets and spare tires for that reason.
I also recommend locking up your daughters.
other than that, totally harmless.

congrats amigo... it's you all that keep tis place kickin' and cool, so thanks for that!
Politics can flip some people out, fire some people up, and turn others off. No more of it here... one bad turn and all kinds of bad stuff can go down. I still think UF not hunkering back in is damn strange... maybe he found another bass home which fits his mojo better.... it's all good though... they come and go but I stay put- ugly is permanent!!

Regarding UF, um yeah, I really miss the guy. I may be going down there sometime soon and may try to track him down. He's bigger than me, so forcing him back here directly may not work so well, but I could nab his jazz and hold it hostage until his return. Yes, it's a complicated and poorly thought-out plan, but sometimes even the worst of plans succeed in some measure or another.;)

Plus, triple_D needs some exercise occasionally and if they let him out of the cage once in a while, why the heck can't he swing from the chandeliers?
