Poor friend needs some ugly vibes

This just sucks man. There is a person I work with that is in need of some good Ugly vibes and CSS wishes.
Dude is supposedly a great instrumentalist, plays mostly latino music I believe. No ego, always happy and eager to help (even when he was down with the flu, this guy would just keep going man). He's mentioned that he plays bass, guitard, trumpet, drums, percusion, keyboard etc. etc. etc. Now normally when someone boasts about this much musical ability I get a little suspicious, but not this one. He is one of the most sincere people I've met in a long time.
Anyway I come in and am working this morning. He follows suit sweeping up the floors when I notice his hand is all sorts of bandaged up. I naturally ask what happened and he mentioned that he was at a relatives house when some other guests had a bit too much to drink and got belligerent. He being the kinda of guy that he is, tried to calm the people down and have them leave, and ended up getting stabbed in the process. Well an attempted stabbing I guess, his hand took the brunt of the blow but the aggressor was aiming for something else (nice guests I know).
He's going in to surgery this week, because the knife severed the tendents on his middle and pointer finger and he can't move them. This is his left hand (he's right handed) so it's a fretting hand. This sucks so much, to potentially lose a lot of his playing ability just cause some arse can't handle his liquor. So if yall would be so kind play a note or two in honor of this ugly in the hopes that surgery goes well and he heals up.

I swear this is true: I was listening to The Eagles' Hotel California when I read this.
They stab it with their steely knife but they just can't kill the beast.

Thanks for the good thoughts. I talked to him today and he's still waiting to be told when to go in tomorow.
Its not that invasive a surgery, and I doubt that are going to put him all the way under, but there is a lot at stake if something goes wrong.
Plus if all goes well the docs told him he would be in rehab for a awhile.

awwww what a sad story Mc. I can dig where that comes from too. Anytime you lose your ability to play it's devastating. I wish the best for him, and will say a prayer!

Thanks Vinny, I'll let him know that a show is being played in the honor of his rehabillitation.

I hope there was a police report filed so the aggressor can be held financially responsible.
That type of injury can be very expensive.
Hope your friend comes through it ok.
