He sang and played guitar and piano. I was running sound.
Very nice guy. Came in, looked at our pretty modest setup and said, Oh, good, I was afraid I'd only get one mic. Played a couple songs for soundcheck, asked for a little bit more vocal on the piano mic and to brighten the guitar just a little. That was it. Consummate professional.
where were you running sound at?
Oddly, at work. I inherited all the audio/visual equipment a few years ago because I was the only one who knew anything about running it (and, at the time, I didn't know much).
We have meetings and presentations in a large room that might hold 350 or so max. Our Board of Directors meet there.
Mostly just lectures and such but, several times a year we'll have a band or singer/songwriter. Most people are very nice and at least semi-pro. Every now and then, though, you'll get the other kind.
Mr. Hummon, however, was impressively low maintenance.
wow dude, that is great.
where were you running sound at?
