So I tried out the MarkBass 1x15 signature combo over the weekend. LOVE it. Less than 50lbs and plenty of power and tone. Although that Ampeg 4x10 sounds great, the thing weighs 80lbs by itself. Call me old, but light weight and convienience are plus' in my book.

How's the consensus?

I'd say to try a little Genz too.

They make a very high-quality amp and the tone is a bit different than MB. I'd say it's bit more tubey sounding, though not quite as strong on the bottom-end on the Shuttle 6.0.

The new Shuttle 9.0 is 900 watts and about 4lb.! It's also is designed for a bit thicker bottom than the SHuttle 6.0.

Most players that use MB really like them though and I'd just recommend trying the Shuttle to make sure that you're not missing out on a different tone that may (or may not) float your boat.
