My Bass Has Hips
After the many failed bands I decided I was going to try and play a standup i have been a fan of Rockabilly/psychobilly and now I am going to try and play some. She is a Cremona SB-2 not the best bass in the world but I got it for 350 so i'll give her a go:

rockin' the doghouse

Got at K&K pickup on my Cremona. You'll like it.
Now you got a Man's Bass... :D edit: of course, Esperanza Spalding might disagree.

I have the K&K Bass Max and the 3 band eq preamp. Here's the pickup and description.

Go ahead and order it with the preamp and mount package. http://www.gollihurmusic.com/product/1425-BASS_MAX_OR_DOUBLE_BIG_TWIN_PICKUP_PREAMP_PACKAGE.html
It's a good mid price package. It's ultra simple to install.
If you're not going to play through an amp, I recommend removing the pickup. It dampens the resonance of the bass just a little. You won't notice it plugged in, though.
I got the mounting package, too and ended up replacing the velcro strap with a little bunjee strap. It was easier to remove.
One thing I keep reading about electrifying doghouse basses is that most of your top guys and gals use a mic along with a p/up so that you get the full tone of the d/house.
weird picked up a cermona SB2 today for 460 (she was selling it for 450, but can only take out by 20s...i hate ATMS) Been having a blast with it, and I know mine should be set up somewhere, but just got it today :D
that's kool.....i'd love to get one someday. I'm sure my wife would understand :D
enjoy
Yes, in fact I do use a pick. On my GUITARS! :D
