We chose the word ugly not as an insult but as a compliment. Ugly is the look and feel of a bassist so deep in the pocket that he or she has lost all bodily control. Ugly is the attitude that goes along with playing until your fingers bleed only to have the frontman forget to introduce you to the crowd. Ugly is a brand that we feel proud to wear, just like the 20lb Jazz Bass we drag from gig to gig because it sounds THAT good!
