Open link in new window
Just what the title says. It's a personal thing I guess. I'm just more accustomed to having links within a message open in new windows... or tabs depending on the browser.
kewl.
Apparently not?
I know what you're thinking of, and believe you're referring to when you're clicking a clink outside of a browser, like in an email, or a document of some sort. instead of pasting itself over your current window, it opens a new window... or tab. Within the browser when the web page calls for a new window, you can choose to have it open in a new tab instead, and then decide if you want to immediately switch focus to the new tab. But i believe the call for a new window, or same window is part of the html, target' code.
<a href='somepage.htm' target='_blank' rel=nofollow>The link</a>
If you leave out the target attribute's value, it defaults to _self, which replaces the current window with the one you're getting.
In Drupal it's a global setting
installed drupal module enabling control of this. all external links now have a symbol showing you it will open in new window (or tab) as your browser settings dictate.....
isn't that already controlled by browser settings?
Beer is not simply a means of drunkenness nor is it merely a lubricant to grease the skids to sin. Beer, well respected and rightly consumed, can be a gift of God. It is one of his mysteries, which it was his delight to conceal and the glory of kings to search out. And men enjoy it to mark their days and celebrate moments and stand with their brothers in the face of what life brings - Stephen Mansfield, The search for God and Guinness
