Hey Guys, long time away
Hello all, it's been awhile. Have been going through a funk thats really brought me down pretty hard. Haven't even picked up a stick since last November. Until now.
Went through a lot of issues since Darth Taco and I split our ways. The band I joined up in blew up five months later. Did what we could to make things work but just could not get it going. Started playing with some others and all that started falling apart as well.
I almost quit altogether. Was ready to sell off everything. But I remember reading about others that had stopped and then wanted to pick it back up again and all the trouble they went through. So I just held on. And here I am. I missed you guys and this place. I want to thank Demon and Headle for the positive messages they have sent my way. You two are the bestest.
So I am back, gonna brush the dust off and give it a go once more. Here goes nothing.
yo chuck
hey just a little down time for ya
reassess and all that
now just pick up where you left off
good to hear from you
Welcome back, bro.
I haven't played much in 2 years.... got burned out by a REALLY bad band experience.
Happens to (pretty much) all of us at some point.
Good thing you did't sell your stuff...
After I quit my last band , I thought I was done with it....sold most of my stuff...then really missed it...(and regret it)
Now I'm slowly building back up my setup.slowly.
Long story short....you're a few steps ahead of the game, so thats somethin to be happy about.
Hope all is well.

Since you've been on a hiatus, you're ready to try something new.
Play a completely different style - try some reggae or funk, put flats on, take all the pedals offline. sing in the shower.
welcome home!!
Glad your back.

Hmmm. I thought I smelled something. Chuck, you're so ugly I bet you have to sneak up on your food. Haha! Welcome back, man! Just keep thumping that thing. You know how life goes 'round.
Welcome back chuck!
Great to see you back here again.
I've been in a bit of funk myself and really understand what it's like. Although I didn't ditch bassin'.
I was really down about the possbility of losing my job.
But, now that it's happened, the worry is gone and I'm much happier. The bad news is that I have lines on a couple of new jobs. Maybe a bit too soon though as I've been playing bass a lot!
Now, I've just got to get out and jam more.
I outta bring my twang stick up there for a jam with ya!
Now there's a man that's been sorely missed!
Doggone good to hear you back, man.
Glad you didn't quit. Bad scenes happen to everyone. It's just part of it.
But, like Miles Davis told his one new bandmembers as they were getting booed at the Isle Of Wight, Just play through it.
Welcome home, Chuck. We had discussed the possibility of organizing a posse and tracking your a#% down. You came back just in time because that wouldn't have been pretty.
Thank you all for the positive waves. It really means a lot to me. That whole band thing really tore me up, but if it doesn't kill you.... So anyhoo, my neighbor is also an instructor, and I am taking lessons once again to try and broaden my horizons. Play something different. It's always fun to jam with him and that's what it's all about. Thanks again everyone.
NWBasser, would be good to see you. You got my number, let me know when you are back up in the Ham.
My brother Headle, I will be in the Springs in May. I would love to get together over some beers with you and the boys. I will let you know as soon as I have my flight info.
CHUCK!!!!!!! Hey, I feel you on the band thing and selling, and all that..Ken almost threw in the towel and he's glad he didn't, but the band saga's roll on!
I was gone even longer myself, so good to see the gangs all getting back into the ugliness that was!

My man Chuck! Now that is the Ugly spirit! You play as long and hard as you have you are bound to have some disappointment and need some downtime. November ain't that long. Well I guess it's been long enough to turn Taco Head into an Ugly. Maybe you two should do a bass duo thing. Who the hell knows. I for one am glad to see you back. You been on my mind.
