this has to be
... and effort that has gone into making this stick, but I'm with H on this - the shape just looks wrong to me.
I'm sure it plays beautifully though.
You know, SC basses are just FUNKY looking. I've noticed that my personal tastes... I really like SC more than DCs... but i always have to do a double take whenever I see any SC bass to take it in right. Even my Beautiful beautiful clement SC... every now and then I just kind of look at it and think of the body shape well... that's weird.
Ugly duckling I guess? Though I'm totally hooked on the SC design now... the strap-button position on my clement lets it sit a good several inches higher than all the regular double cut basses I own... unfettered access across the whole neck in all positions! Amazing feeling...
nice grain
sweet design
If it was a double cut 4 or 5 string it would be my favorite one ever! Gorgeous! I haven't heard from him in a long time. Glad to see he is still at it!

Yeah, I don't think he is anymore
neato. it looks like a tree exploded.

Initially, I'm inclined to say I don't care for the SC design, however I'm sure its something that would grow on me over time; if it were somethign that I enjoyed from a players perpective.
I wonder however how to they feel to play higher up on the fretboard, in comparison to a DC design, and also are they heavier than a commperable double cut bass? I would think that the additional mass of wood that is there that was not cut away would have to add weight.
just my initial, exteremly uneducated impression.

Well, I can say that the upper fret access on my Single-cut is the most comfortable out of any bass I've tried...
The weight issue isn't bad at all either... that little bit of extra wood where the top cut would be isn't that much extra weight
Man! I am such a sucker for sweet inlays....all i can say is sweet inlay
I'm really considering doing one to my bass (speaking of which I'll get some porn in here soon I've been lurking since I started playing)
Geeze that thing is gorgeous. I love single cuts, but I've played both and don't know if there is too much practical difference.
6 strings may or may not be gratuitous. Jury is still out.
