LOST
Anybody LOST fans? Last season is getting pretty good. I never started out liking this show and when someone got us hooked on it online and we were truly hooked.
i really like lost, its been a hell of a ride thou, from love to hate and back to love and then hate again. now i've learned to accept that whatever happends i will never be able to stop watching. that, is the mark of a good series.
my friend once told me you always say that you never find out stuff, that they always add more. but i like that, then i can use my imagination
a moment of clarity for that guy ;P
to zebra skin, it's all the rage in Paris..
Fret, it's true...If you can withstand the growing pains of the show and make it to the end you have truly done something unique! It's finally at a place where it's answering questions to a point.
This show revolutionized television with flash forwards and flash sideways...It's a trip!
Don't forget to watch the next and final five shows!
I am so lost watching LOST.... Sometimes I think I know what's going on and then wham... back to being confused.
wow LAST nights episode reveals smokey can't get off that island or everyone will die in the world. Trippy. And to see Desmond back makes me happy...I had the feeling Desmonds powers were going to be all inclusive towards the end of the show...Getting stoked!
I am a Lost fan, but I don't like the long periods between seasons. I hope that trend doesn't continue, but I think Lost has been important to TV.
Lost is like what Behind the Music says of Pantera. BtM says that grunge killed metal, but Pantera brought it back. Reality TV killed the serial series, shows with connecting episodes, but Lost brought them back. Remember Dynasty and those type shows? I'm not saying it's related, but about the same time reality became big (early 90s), most shows got away from the connected plots of a series. Character dynamics may have developed and continued from one episode to another, but if you hadn't seen an episode of ER, you weren't lost in what was going on. If you missed the episode that this doctor kissed that doctor, it had no bearing on understanding the plot of that episode. There was little continuity episode to episode. Lost brought that back. After Lost came 24, Prison Break, Heros and so on. I think that was about the same time HBO started developing their own series. They did have the Larry Sanders show, but that was more like a situational comedy if I remember right.
I'm not a fan
watched the first season
lost me at the polar bear
I do like the Bud Lite commercial based on the series though
It interesting how Desmond ran over wheelchair bound Locke. Makes me think Desmond's conciousness exists in both of the two dimensions. (and now taking the pocket protector out of my pocket. lol)
Dthraco would you believe that I missed this weeks? And what the heck was up with the re-run last week? well, I gotta wait for this weeks to turn up online..
Yeah weird how Desmond ran over Locke...I'm like you ...However we do know that Desmond is the only one that can withstand the heavy radiation and he wants Penny and his son, so he'll do anything for daddy in law...This is just getting weird..But good! I'll be so ANGRY if I watched five seasons of this and it ends all ignant! LOL
I don't like the direction the plot has taken this season. I'm most disappointed in what they did with Locke's character, and I mean the Locke pre-smoke monster. He was the the most enigmatic character, and they just killed him off. I don't like how his character before dying and becoming the smoke monster, and the character he is now are so similar.
I think they also could have done so much more with Jen and Sun's love story. What they did with them in the last episode was such garbage. I think the writers came to a point where they had to start getting rid of characters, and got lazy about it.
Rasta I totally agree with you. John Locke was such a genuine human being. Very innocent and yet so sad with all of his personal loneliness, and he could have been a real mess if they focused on how sad his life in the states was. But, when they made him able to walk and he took control of situations, he was a true hero in many ways. Now to disgrace him is just sad!
I stayed pissed off about Jin and Sun. I kept waiting each episode for them to re-unite them. It took far too long for them to find each other. They have such a beautiful love together.
To be honest, I was disappointed when the true villian turns out to be SMOKEY...That wasn't my idea of a good plot. I expected Jacob to be more than they were showing. I envisioned him to be the be all, end all...Not sure how I feel about where it's going..I have to catch up with last week cause I missed it.
Let's just hope that it ends in a way that was worthy of watching six seasons of this! LOL'

Eh, I did not like the last season. The ending sucked a$$. I want my time back.
Dude, no doubt huh? I was not happy with it, but I don't regret the earlier stuff. It was pretty entertaining while it was still a mystery. Once the answers came out I was just not at all happy with it...I'll still buy the sixth season, gotta complete the damned set...Money waste? Nah, one day could be worth something to someone..LOL
I am trying to give the series a chance because I thought the concept for the ending of the series was amusing. Watched the first epsiode and well; it was a struggle. Is the whole first season hard to get through?
Aquaman if you are just getting into the whole six seasons, I think you will like it. It's one of the first shows I have ever gotten this involved in. I think it's because it was just different and was also suspenseful. It kept me on my toes, I'll give it that. Once you get into season two and three you are truly hooked up in it. The more it goes the more history it gives on each person and the Island itself. Just because the ending was not ideal, doesn't mean the whole six seasons was a waste to me. I enjoyed many of the shows and couldn't wait to see the next. We started late on this ourselves. Got into it about fifth season was airing. We got caught up online and for some reason just couldn't stop watching it and catching up on it to get with the ones coming up at that time. I think you will enjoy it immensely.
.. actually watched it.
Should I??
I am about to start the first season dvd's at night on my laptop while Ken is on a graveyard shutdown, but I have to tell you, for me to watch something again' it's got to be pretty intense! I have a short attention span and I don't get too spellbound with television as a rule! I think a man of your great character and taste would enjoy the suspense and drama for the most part! I haven't considered it a waste as much as I have it didn't go as I thought at the very last season! THe first four or five are really good though! :) I like trying to figure out characters and that was the fun of it for me. THe characters are actually people the everyday person can relate to! Not super rich housewives with drama!
I just realized you are probably kidding me! LOL..But, you know if you ask, i answer! HAHA

i lost fans when i started wearing a leopardskin thong on stage...
