Fix for fretting hand pain
Tue, 06/01/2010 - 10:24am
Not 100% yet, but I think I found a solution to the fretting hand pain I was experiencing. And it was stupidly simple. I raised the level that I play my bass while standing. It's now basically the same level as when I play sitting down.
Not only did I play with less pressure, but my hand didn't really hurt on sunday (after our 4.5 hour gig on saturday night). I also found it was easier to dance and play with the bass at this level.

yeah, I always trip out when I see guys with their basses slung down by their feet- no chance I could play like that for more than about 2 minutes...
here's to the wind that breezes, through the treeses, up girls skirts and between their kneeses, to that little spot that teases and pleases and gives men diseases oh Jesus (said with a drunken Scottish accent)
