I am currently doing research into timing training for musicians.  I'm looking for musicians who would be interested in downloading and testing some free timing training software, and then filling in a very short online survey (16 point-and-click questions).  More information and application available here on my site:

timecheck.asparagusaudio.co.za

Thanks, and please pass the link on to anyone who might be interested

Completed the Survey

...but I just had another thought.  Maybe another 'mode' where there is only one clock tick happening [Standard Mode metronome only or 'no sound' option for the Pattern Mode] and another option in this mode to fade in the Standard Mode tick after a selectable period of silence to assist beginners in strengthening their 'internal clock'.  This is something I used to do back in 7th grade using the wall clock in the classroom to establish a tempo, looking away still counting then looking back to check accuracy [causing a low GPA, but thats another story] and later on using the same idea where I'd continue singing a song that was on the car radio while walking into the house and checking to see if I had kept the tempo once inside.

I found this very easy to use right off the shelf and can see where it could be extremely helpful in many ways.

Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions (and for completing the survey). Probably the most requested feature is for the pattern click to fade back in again after a specified period of time, so I'll definitely be looking into that.

A big thank you to everyone

A big thank you to everyone who has tried the software and completed the survey. I've received some really useful feedback and suggestions, I might even look into turning this into something professional once the studies are done. I'm going to leave the site up and the survey open for a few more days in case there are any late comers.
