Actually I think I hate everything Javascript.
But sometimes you just have to have it.
Any Ajax hounds here??
Could do with a pointer.

Yeah Jackie, I'd prefer that option but you gotta use the platform that the client is on.
However, I fixed the problem using a window.XMLHttpRequest / ActiveXObject and was able to get it all singin' and dancing.
Amazing what you can do when there just isn't an alternative!!

I'm learning Python right
I'm learning Python right now, along with Joomla, on VM ware Player to help Ken with a website we are going to take care of for a good friend that sells martial arts and extreme yoga dvds, etc...I use to be the admin to a forum site called HELLRIDER and it was a site dedicated to people that loved Black Label Society and bands of that genre. We stayed up for a good five years and the board owner had to eventually let it go from circumstances that he could not change at the time. We were a huge and happy family and I still to this day have many friends from that time there! I enjoyed admin work on the board, but it was so easy, it was Apache...
What do you think of Joomla?

I dig Joomla
In fact I make approx 2-3 sites a month with it.
Jackie loves Drupal, but that's only 'cos he's a freakin' NERD.
However, both leverage the power of PHP, which loves Apache, but will allow itself to run on other webservers (unlike the branded products)
At the end of the day, you use what works best for you and the client, is easiest to update, is search engine friendly, validates against W3C standards and whatever other parameters you'd like to add.
Javascript, however, is another issue. I code comfortably in a dozen other languages, including Java and C++.
My original comment about hating Ajax was built around the differences in all the browsers' ability to read, perform and control elements on the page consistently. (particularly Internet Exploder)
