Well, I'm B-A-A-A-C-C-K! How y'all been doin'? A question.....
Hi everyone. The Question: I live in a town that is ay least 3 hours from a good store to buy equipment like a bass or guitar, etc. So, on craigslist I found a listing for a Fender Precision, about 1 1/2 years old, probably made in Mexico, along with a soft case, a small amp, and an extra set of strings. They are asking $300. I think its the same model as on musiciansfriend that lists for $549. Does everyone think thats a fair deal if the neck is straight, and the electronics are in good working order?
Thanks, and I'll be a-lurking around again in the am. Leave me a message if you have an opinion, and it feels good to be back on the forum....

I like those mexi precisions
if it's in good shape and you get all the rest w/it
sounds like a pretty good deal
$300 is the going rate for those without an amp or extra strings. I bought a '96 Mexican P-Bass and have been lovin it.
I think that's pretty fair especially if they're going to ship it to you.
I bought a 5 string Mexi-Jazz over 5 years ago for about $350. Nice playing stick. I still play it out on occasion.
GREAT deal.
GREAT deal. I peeped it, and it was smooooooth! I said..$300 seems a tad high-can you work with less? She said, how about $250? I said, How about $240? She said OK. I paid her.
Now, about the bass........ </gag>
She accepted $240-the stick is clean, and well kept. I called Fender while she was here, tracked it; Its a MIM, in Blue, made in 03/2003. It was spotless. Great pots, clean hardware, and straight and clean neck. Included a gig bag, a cable, and a Behringer UltraBass BT108.
I BE HAPPY!
... cos for that price you're way in front!!
Enjoy!

while you're checking out the stick, can you see if the guy has my Boss tuner that I lost at a gig six months ago?
