Ugly gig photo
Hey all.... Had a Christmas gig a couple of weeks ago and got a pretty good shot from it. Thought you might like to see.

Sure seems right at home here on Ugly Bass Player, huh? :) But man that G&L sure do look perty tho, don't it?
Lookin sweet.
I came real close to buying a G&L L2000 this past summer, a used one was up the the Gas, Guns, Guitars etc roadside estabilshment I often stop at while M/C riding in upstate New York near the CA border.
I was digging the feel and I could tell it just grooved. For some reason I played a G&L at Bass Specialties in Bensalem PA and it didnt speak to me the way this one did.
Anyway, I there was no way I could pack the L2000 on the VFR, and my riding buddies were wanting to get rolling. I didn't plug it into an amp....I was afraid of the fiscal consequences if I did
Hi, I am new on this forum. I have playing for 31 years and love it. I have a fender american p bass and I am looking at a couple of 5 string options. 1st a mim fender jazz, second a schector diamond series please let me know what your thoughts arre i would love to here them.
Jeff, that was probably a good call on the fiscal consequences.
I got this one for a steal, and it's been a great bass. I think the only thing I'd change is that the neck is pretty thick. It might be a little more comfy with a thinnner neck. That being said, there are so many options on this bass, if it doesn't sound good, it's probably the fault of the player.
Hell, Yeah!!
